Our Model Railroad Department
New Showroom Layout
New things are happening in 2010 at
Muskoka Computes and Hobbbies.
For the month of January we ran an online contest to find a track plan for a new model railroad layout for our shop showroom. Our winning trackplan was submitted by Paul Aegerter of Ziemetschausen Germany, and we are pleased to announce that Mr. Aegerter has decided to fly to Canada to build his creation for us. The construction will begin March 8th in our shop, come on in and check it out.

Calculating The
Shipping Fees:
We thought long and hard about
how we should handle shipping fees.
We thought of putting them in
with the paypal buttons,
so when a customer clicked
to order an item,
the fee would be calculated
and shown right there.
But given the nature of some of these products,
several could be packaged
and shipped for the same price
as just one item.
Our accountant pointed out that
if we used this system,
it would penalize customers
who want more than one item,
and we wanted to encourage
customers to buy several items.
The goal of our shipping policy
is to charge a fair price
while encouraging customers
to combine their orders
whenever possible,
since this reduces costs for both of us.

and FREE SHIPPING
on orders over $80.00
